Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaner for their Leaping Frog store in Fourways. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring that the store, including the floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen, remains pristine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the store and communal areas before opening.
- Develop and follow routines to keep all store areas in excellent condition.
- Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies at all times.
- Be available during operational hours to address any cleaning needs.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for different tasks.
- Display wet floor signs during floor cleaning to ensure safety.
- Offer friendly and professional customer service.
- Perform tasks in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
- Good command of the English language.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Ability to work retail hours.
- An additional area-specific language is advantageous.
Advantageous Skills:
- Bilingualism.
- Previous experience in retail store cleaning.
Competencies:
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Effective customer service.
- Trustworthy and honest.
- Attention to detail and presentable appearance.
- Ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively.
Special Conditions:
- Willingness to work retail hours.
- Physically capable of walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and handling objects.
- Reliable transport or residence in proximity to the store.
- South African citizenship with clear credit and criminal records.
